Terms of Service

Effective: June 29, 2026 · hermosskills · A Peter Bjork project

The short version: hermosskills is a curated marketplace for AI-agent skills. Sponsorships keep skills running, commissions fund new skills, and 30% of every transaction flows to a public-good AI project. You can cancel a sponsorship anytime. Refunds on commissions are handled case-by-case because custom work is involved. The full version is below.

1. What hermosskills does

hermosskills is a curated, trust-first marketplace for AI-agent skills. The platform is operated under "A Peter Bjork project." We offer three transaction types:

30% of every transaction flows to a public-good AI project (we publish the receiving project quarterly). The remainder funds the maintainer, the platform, and ongoing editorial review.

2. Editorial standards

Every skill on hermosskills is reviewed for consent, legality, privacy, non-harm, and human-approval gating before it is listed. Reviewer decisions are final, but maintainers can resubmit after addressing feedback. We do not curate based on politics or partisanship; we curate based on whether the skill could be safely used by a general-audience agent operator.

Skills can be removed from the catalog at any time if a security issue is discovered, if the maintainer abandons it, or if our editorial standards change. Removed sponsorships are paused and refunded pro-rata.

3. Skill sponsorships

When you start a Skill Sponsorship, you agree to fund a specific listed skill at the rate shown on its page (currently $49 USD/month) until canceled.

Sponsorship funds are applied to:

Sponsorships renew automatically on the same day each month at the then-current price. We will give you 30 days' notice before any price change applies to existing sponsors.

4. Commissions

A $500 commission deposit secures a 30-minute scoping call with the listed maintainer for that commission slot. During scoping we agree on deliverables, milestones, and a total project price. The deposit is credited toward the final project price.

If scoping does not result in an agreed project, the deposit is refunded less a $50 covering the maintainer's scoping time. See the Refund Policy for full details.

Custom work performed under a commission is owned by you (the commissioner) per the project agreement, with a perpetual, non-exclusive license back to the maintainer to keep the underlying skill module in the catalog. Specific ownership terms are spelled out in each project's statement of work before any work begins.

5. Founding sponsors

Founding Sponsors (currently $250 USD/month) receive:

If you cancel Founding Sponsorship, the credit is removed at the end of the current billing period. The credit is optional — you can choose to remain anonymous.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to ours. We never see or store your card number.

Sponsorships are billed monthly. Commissions bill the $500 deposit at checkout; the remaining project price is billed against milestones as spelled out in the statement of work.

7. Refunds and cancellation

You can cancel any sponsorship at any time from the link in any receipt email or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — we do not prorate partial months.

If you cancel a sponsorship within 14 days of a charge and the sponsored skill has not been materially updated during that period (a "material update" means a published release, not a comment-only commit), email us and we will refund that month.

Commission refund handling is described in the Refund Policy. Because commissions involve a maintainer's time, the deposit is non-refundable once scoping has been delivered.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use hermosskills — including any funded skills — for:

If we suspect a violation, we may pause the sponsorship while we investigate.

9. Intellectual property

The hermosskills name, logo, catalog layout, and editorial copy are owned by "A Peter Bjork project." You may reference and link to us; you may not resell or rebrand the marketplace.

Each skill listed in the catalog is licensed by its maintainer under the terms shown on the skill's page. Sponsorship funds maintenance, not transfer of ownership.

10. Warranty and limitation of liability

We curate with reasonable care. We do not guarantee that any particular skill will produce accurate, complete, or useful output for every use case. AI agent skills can and do fail. Use your judgment, especially for safety-, medical-, legal-, or financial-critical paths; insert human approval gates where appropriate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from hermosskills is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Some states do not allow limitations on certain warranties or damages; in those states, the limitations above apply only to the maximum extent permitted.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a material way, we will update the "Effective" date, post a banner on the home page, and email active sponsors at least 30 days before the change takes effect.

12. Contact and disputes

hermosskills is a project of Peter Bjork. Reach us through the Hermosskills contact form. Requests are queued for human review before any reply is sent.

We will try to resolve any dispute informally first. If we cannot, you agree that any formal dispute will be handled in the state and federal courts located in the state of our principal place of business, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in this section prevents you from filing a complaint with your state attorney general, the US Federal Trade Commission, or your credit card issuer.
